If yours is already cut, you can just reattach the wire back, clear the error and cut it again.

It would depend. The A2033010001 has some variations in the assembly itself. As long as the top part of the assembly looks the same as the one I am using it should be fine. Some A2033010001 have a big protruding plastic piece on the top side. Those will NOT fit, as there is not enough clearance in the footwell of the G-wagon. The A2303000104 is more expensive, as it comes with the aluminum backplate on the gas pedal, but any Mercedes pedal with the same assembly as the one I use in the video will be fine.

Yes, for the most part heir are crap, but I have not used the Belsee specifically so I can't comment on those. If you want to go aftermarket, make sure you get quadlock cable that is properly pinned otherwise the radio will not be able to be started and stopped by switching the ignition on or off.

It's a very good question. Someone else was asking about that. Unfortunately when I was doing that, I used a new camera, which wasn't working properly (overheating) and portions of the clips are missing. I intended to go back and re-shoot the missing parts, but sold the G-wagon before I could do that. I might release whatever I have, but it won't be in the spirit of the channel, as I really don't like doing things only-half way

@@EndlessMotorWorks I completely understand. Any pointers or trips would be awesome though. I have tried to do it on mine without removing the dash but required a bunch of trimming and gluing. Would like to do it in a cleaner way.

Yes, the entire door card needs to come off. The switch panel is held with a clip on the back side. The plastic wood trim, as far as I remember is glued on and replacing it is rather difficult.

You can turn the ignition in order to provide power to the cluster, you just won't be able to start the car.

There are two disks that are linked, CD1 and CD2 for the navigation. One is for Western Europe, the other one is for Central and Eastern Europe

@EndlessMotorWorks Yes, I know, but Serbia is missing on Eastern Europe disc (where suppose to be). I found different disc from other source and now it's working.

Assuming you are performing the procedure on one of the two models that this video is intended for an not another type of vehicle, the wire needs to be cut after the error has been cleared. If you cut first and try to clear the error it will remain as the vehicle has no contact with the ignition lock. You can reconnect the wire, clear the code and then disconnect the wire again.

It's just an Ebay special. Any AUX cable that is meant for the Command 2.0 should work just fine.

Yes, most likely it has blown and needs to be replaced. But keep in mind these doors are quite heavy anyways so even with a new strut it will still be difficult to open

Most likely the MMI you are trying to upgrade is not the one that the files are meant for, or it is running firmware version that is for another region, like Japan or Russia.

Working with VCDS isn't complicated and is not such an expensive tool. You can get cheap cables and software from ebay or other sells online for less than 50 bucks

Right because i believe the previous owner of my audi a6 has snipped the wire as my steering lock does not work and i also have the red key sign on dash same time key fob not unlocking or locking i have to use the key manually.. I was wondering what is the next best solution connect wire back and repair the module to solve the key fob problem ? They have gotten more affordable over the years, but I agree that there are quite a lot of things on these vehicles than can be expensive, especially if it is a G63 or G65 AMG.

Did the key fob unlock the car after ?
